Addicted to YSFLIGHT

YSFLIGHT Simulator is a free downloadable software for aspiring pilots. It is probably the simplest flight simulator when it comes to graphics, but it is designed to practically simulate real-life flying. Plane mechanics, visibility, speed and aircraft physics are notable in their latest version.

I have been playing YSFLIGHT for almost five years now and I can attest that it is the easiest way to get yourself on board. Learn the basics of flying, a wide selection of plane models, and even mid-air battles with YSFLIGHT!

Dormitory Life

I have been away with my parents since high school. we can't afford condo units nor apartment so I have no choice but to stay in a dormitory.

Living with other people most of whom you don't know is exciting. Knowing them personally build new friendships and experiences. It's simply a wonder knowing different cultures gathered together in harmonious rhythm.

I am now staying at Molave Residence Hall, one of the many dormitories in the University of the Philippines Diliman. True enough I met new friends and had a lot of exciting experiences. But definitely there would be pros and cons in a public place where almost everything are shared and common.

Last week I lost my laptop. It was a birthday gift from my parents and it was hard-earned. It was stolen inside my locker the day before i will take a flight for GenSan. I barely can't express how I feel for myself considering I have countless issues regarding money. I can't help but tell my parents what happened and expected the worst things to happen. Initial reaction - they were indifferent. I even planned of not flying back home. But thanks for the realization of how stupid it will be of me being indifferent to them as well.

I'm over with the stolen laptop issue. My concern now is of how will I be able to replace it. To whoever stole it, rest in peace.

Philippines' Nationwide Barangay Elections

October 25 is an important day in the Philippines. In a few hours, we will be voting our respective barangay leaders of whom we owe the basics of the laws. This is a nationwide event to be joined by qualified citizens - youths and the age majority. On this same day, the Sangguniang Kabataan Elections will also be held and youths are expected to have been registered and voting tomorrow.

Liquor and gun bans were already imposed in the entire nation since last week. A number of violators have already been caught and are sentenced to one to six years imprisonment.

Rewind

UPCAT. It's been three years since I took this exam. All I remember was that I had it taken on a Sunday afternoon, and went out of the room having butt cramps and the feeling of a brain atrophy (whatever it was). University if the Philippines was the lone school in my list. I can't afford the two remaining prestigious universities - Ateneo de Manila and La Salle. Thinking over, it was a heavy decision after all.

I'm currently a Junior Chemical Engineering student. To add, I'm roughly five units advanced. Which is obviously a headstart for the future majors I might be failing.

Life in UP Diliman is a force to be reckoned with. Cliche but every UP student should agree.

Delving Into Tech

Every single tick of the clock  another idea is born. May it be useless or whatnot, it exists to wake up greater ideas.

I remember 15 years ago the first time I used the telephone. A jaw dropping experience for one to encounter, admit it. Though only a few people remember their first times, it was one thing for me I can't forget. The first time I heard a human being speaking real-time over a weird scooping device, it was an awe for a child like me. I could just imagine how Alexander Graham Bell reacted when he first heard a voice over the telephone.

And at present where technological advances are apprehensively consuming us, here comes WiFi, camera phones, GPS-tracking devices, everything all over us in hand. No rebuttal on the possibility of AI robots in five years.

University Thoughts

Probably the most crucial yet exciting part of one's life would be college. Once you enter in this world full of demise but fruitful expectations, you hardly can get out.

Let's start with facebook - the social life of most college students. Starting your college journey is like starting off in a swimming competition. It's takes time to make yourself at ease but when you establish a new you, surely you'll get the hang out of it.

It's time for you to meet new friends, freaks and weirdos abound, the nerds and geeks, and the campus crushes. Get along with all kinds of people for you might need help in times you badly need them. If you find your acquaintances hard to please, ask them to drink and knock them down.

Joining in organizations is another thing. Be sure to have at least one; another line on your resume. This will make you feel 'I belong' or 'I'm cool'. Whatever you like - suit yourself. Organizations range from academic, varsity, religious, fraternities and sororities, name it!

Academics. This one is tough. Just do your best and try not to flunk. College is not like high school. High school makes you run for your grades; college makes you run for your life.

Enough said.

Nokia Care

I want to burst. For a fact, Philippines has widely provided the world with call center agents or mere customer service representatives. They are expected to be well conversed with English, satisfy customers by fixing their concerns, and possess pleasing personality.

Two weeks ago, I came to visit Nokia Care at SM New Annex to fix my phone's problem. I got a number and waited to be assisted. When it was my time to sit down with a customer representative and air out my issue, I was a bit disappointed of the woman's  tone of voice. She was the typical taray we Filipinos know.

In the middle of our talk, I asked for a phone replacement if proven that the problem was a factory defect. But she insists of the NO REPLACEMENT POLICY with her snobbish accent and ten eyebrows up. That instance, I realized there's no point of insisting what I want. I'm talking with a shit.

I wasn't able to note her name but for sure I remember grouchy face. I already informed Nokia regarding this issue and I hope it will be resolved.
